Edge to Edge Quilting on your Embroidery Machine

Edge to Edge Quilting on your Embroidery Machine

Saturday April 6th

10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Learn how to use your embroidery machine to do edge to edge quilting! We will follow the technique from the Amelie Scott Designs book “Edge to Edge Quilting on Your Embroidery

Machine “. The book has 10 different designs, each with 3 sizes. The smallest size requires an embroidery field of 10” x 6”, so you must have a hoop that accommodates this size. We will be using a 10” x 6” in class, but a slightly larger one is also fine.

Using a sample quilt sandwich made from two 1 yard cuts of fabric and batting we will learn how to determine how many columns of quilting we will need, where to begin the quilting, and how to accurately place the quilting so it looks continuous.

You need to be comfortable with the operation of your embroidery machine to get the most out of this class.
