Edge to Edge Quilting - Amelie Scott Method
Edge to Edge Quilting on your Embroidery Machine
Learn how to use your embroidery machine to do edge to edge quilting! We will follow the technique from the Amelie Scott Designs book "Edge-to-Edge Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine". The book has 10 different designs, each with 3 sizes. The smallest size requires an embroidery field of 10" x 6", so you must have a hoop that accommodates this size. We will be using a 10" x 6" hoop in class, but a slightly larger one is fine also.
Using a sample quilt sandwich made from two 1 yard cuts of fabric and batting we will learn how to determine how many columns of quilting we will need, where to begin the quilting, and how to accurately place the quilting so it looks continuous.
You need to be comfortable with the operation of your embroidery machine to get the most out of this class.
